EN Camps are designed to give triathletes a multi-day endurance training and learning experience. You will go further -- and learn more about pacing, nutrition, and efficiency -- in Day One than you have on most weekends. Both days combined. By the time your EN Camps ends, you won't even recognize who you've become. This is the camp “for the rest of us,” for athletes who have full-time lives and lofty triathlon goals -- and aren't willing to compromise either. Over the course of the camp EN Camps coaches Rich Strauss and Patrick McCrann will lead you on the path towards new physical and mental limits. Each EN Camper will leave with the fitness, knowledge, and skills needed to successfully execute on race day. Not to mention some serious mojo.
The EN Camps Story
The concept for EN Camps came up when Rich and I were talking about best-practices for age-group athletes preparing for an Ironman. Most folks are able to put together a focused week of training, and the majority of our athletes have had a great deal of success from such quality-oriented programs. But Ironman training is more than just repeating a quality week. It's more than just adding up numbers. There are key sessions; workouts where you rise beyond your predetermined limits to reach a new level. These workouts are a critical component of quality IM training. With this in mind, we decided to design a camp that allows campers to experience moving to the next level of physical and mental fitness - every day. Originally designed for our one-on-one coached athletes, each EN Camps has several slots available for the general public.
Each EN Camps includes endurance training in stunning settings on the West and East Coasts. You might not have the energy to appreciate it while you're suffering (don't worry, we'll take photos), but you'll be riding some of the best roads each coast has to offer. Swimming and running opportunities will be available on a daily basis, but the main focus is on cycling. Expect challenging terrain; do not show up at EN Camps hoping to get fit. There will be a SAG vehicle on each ride with the best-quality support we can arrange, but there will be ample opportunity for folks to push themselves. There will also be several evening roundtables on topics such as the following: Training for Ironman, Racing the Ironman, Ironman Training & Racing Nutrition, Power Training and Racing for Ironman, Ironman Critical Strength & Flexibility.
It's getting harder and harder every year to qualify for Kona. Stop chasing you dream and make it a reality. Here are two excellent chances to boost your fitness to the next level, learn the "A" game, and get ready to crush your race day. Hope you can join us!
